Phlebotomist

Summary

Responsibilities: 

Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages, process laboratory specimens and perform computer tasks as related to the laboratory. Perform phlebotomy under the direction of a department supervisor or designee: Performs venipuncture, heel sticks, finger sticks, and bleeding times according to standard operating procedures and delivers specimens to the appropriate department. Responds promptly to STAT, timed test requests, and performs routine rounds on time. May also perform Home Phlebotomy Services.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.  Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipuncture in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
